Once you have entered all your details then please proceed to the payment screen and the processing fees of USD 18 dollars. After the payment is done, they will send you the address where you are supposed to send the postal documents. you will receive instructions in your email on what to send in the parcel, typically it will be in the payment confirmation and the form that you have filled for your fingerprints.

The normal processing time for FBI to issue is 2 weeks period. Although they have mentioned on the website that they will update application once they receive the package via mail but in some cases they don’t give any update. My case was similar as there was no information of weather my package got to FBI or not, however after 2 weeks I received my PCC via email.

Do I need hard copy of this PCC?

In reality you don’t need the physical copy of FBI PCC as the PDF sent to your email is the one that you will use during your Express Entry documents submission.

I will suggest you to do send this document to anyone of your friends or family living in USA as the cost of USA courier is included in the processing fee that FBI takes. This way if you need it in your any other process you can then ask their family member or friend to send it via parcel to your desired location. Until now I have not required it and I have always used the PDF provided via the email.

Please do not take PDF print or try to change the document always use the same PDF that was sent to the email to attach it in the express entry. The file properties changed and one can see the file details and if there are any changes it can cause problem. Although it is black and white but it is still the original PCC from FBI and that’s how the Canadian immigration treats it.

Do I need to include all the addresses in PCC?

For USA you don’t need to mention all the locations where you have lived for the police character certificate. FBI performs a journal inquiry on your details and if you are convicted it is in their database. In my case even the address mentioned was of my family friend so it was showing a different address that is nothing to do with me on the USA PCC.
